Creating hope for children, adults and families. #Letsdostuff

The Shaw Mind Foundation - your mental wellbeing partner.

Our training course will ensure you are equipped with the relevant knowledge of mental health disorders to be able to manage and provide a high standard of support.
You will explore how mental health issues impacts individuals over their lifetime, the wider implications for their family and society, and how the media influence perceptions of mental health.

Mental Health Awareness

We run presentations and workshops for parents on any themes related to mental health and wellbeing of children/teenagers and adults.

These are either two day or six week (2 hours per week) parenting for mental wellbeing courses together with our highly experienced and knowledgeable Parenting Consultant who can support parents in learning how to cope with any problems already arising in their children, and how to parent in the best way to promote healthy communication, lifestyle and mental wellbeing, including dealing with all the usual behaviour issues that arise in many families.

Topics can include issues such as managing difficult behaviour; enhancing emotional resilience, managing toddler/teenage tantrums, positive parenting, impact of technology on children, impact of nutrition on behaviour, mental wellbeing and academic performance.

Any size donation, no matter how small, will make a difference to those children, adults and families going through the distress caused by mental health issues.
